Madonna is the richest woman in music, according to Forbes.

She earned $72 million between June 2006 and June 2007, thanks to her album sales, merchandising and broadcast deals, endorsements, H&M fashion line and Confessions tour, which grossed $260 million.Her global Confessions tour pulled in another $260 million. Britney Spears ranked 14th on the list, earning $8 million from old hits royalties and sales of her fragrances with Elizabeth Arden, which grossed $55.4 million in 2006.
