BILL O'REILLY WANTS NAS OUT!-Pop Flavor

Should Virgina Tech drop Nas from their September 6 memorial concert? That is the question that it is on many Peolple's minds. Should hip-hop artist Nas who has been known for his violent lyrics in the past, but socially conscious songs in the present, be excluded from the September 6 event? Bill Oreilly thinks so. In the clip that you are about to watch,Bill O'reilly advocates that rapper Nas be removed from the concert's program.

So let us put this into perspective. After 32 human beings are murdered at Virginia Tech, a concert welcoming students back features a guy who traffics in violent lyrics.--Bill Oreilly

So is this argument about rap music or the inclusion of a rapper who at one time rapped about guns and violence? Would Kanye West or Common, both of whom are have been known to be less menacing lyrically, have been better candidates?

As you all know,i am very cognizant of bad lyrics and rhymes,as i focus on all these characteristics in most of my music reviews. I am not at all a representative of poor lyrics and content in music. I do advocate for change in hip-hop,"change" being the operative word? When will we stop faulting artists who are trying to make a change?Did Nas as a young artist speak of guns and violence?Yes Throughout the years has he become more socially conscious of his music? Yes So do we continue to fault a man based on his past?It would appear that way.If we can not accept change, then why do we advocate for change? What do you guys think?
